Let me start by saying I am far from a perfect teacher. I hope all who find this little space on the internet know that they are welcome and belong here. We are all in this together and constantly learning and growing!

That being said, here is a little about me:

I am an elementary teacher who created Learning with Lexie on accident. My best friend told me to join the world of social media and share what I was doing with my students in the classroom, so I decided to give it a try. Next thing you know, I found this space filled with amazing teachers all over the world. I felt seen, I learned ideas, and I ignored all my insecurities and started sharing my own ideas and parts of my life.

My favorite part of teaching is having fun with my students and watching them grow into intelligent, kind humans. I love to create engaging lessons that make learning fun. Teaching is hard work! Social media can sometimes make it seem like everything is perfect and like others are not struggling. That’s why I created Learning with Lexie. I want to show others the highs and lows of teaching. I want to look for the glimmers in life and show that being a teacher doesn’t have to completely define who you are. I want to show that teachers are humans and have lives outside of school (I know… crazy though right?). And most of all, I want to help teachers live a less-stressed life by sharing resources, tips, tricks, and motivation to have a fun and engaging school year!

Now, I don’t know everything (obviously) but I will continue to share all that I learn and try with my students in hopes to help current and future teachers! For a more day-to-day update on what I’m doing in my classroom, check out my Instagram!

Thank you for being here! Make sure to say hi!
